EMC Doors
Comtest Shielded Doors 1766- and 1752-series Download
Comtest shielded doors are designed for use in high performance shielded enclosures.
The shielding characteristics are achieved using a double knife edge system, matching quadruple beryllium copper finger contact strips.
A special double pivoting hinge parallel closing system is used for the swing doors in order to ensure long life time of the double row fingerstocks mounted in the doorframes. Locking into the doorframe takes advantage of special locking rollers mounted along the sides of the door.
The sliding doors are manufactured providing the same extended shielding effectiveness performances.

For service purposes the door mechanics can be reached by removing the outside cover of the door. Since this is not an essential part of the shielding it facilitates all maintenance work without affecting the shielding performance of the facility.

The doors can be delivered in manual, semi- and full automatic operation.
In case of mains power breakdown, automatic doors can be operated from the internal rechargeable battery system or using a manual handle, which can be installed in the doorknob.
Using keycard validation systems a door can be operated upon validation of the card or any other security checking system connected to the door electronics.

For large EUT systems, Comtest sliding door, 1755-series can be used as a full automated entrance for large objects, such as cars.
All automatic doors of Comtest are electrical powered and no compressed air is required for operation. This ensures a much smoother movement and reliable operation, especially on the long period of time.

Model 1755 doors are designed for use with absorbers and/or ferrites mounted on the door cover.
The operation of this door is done from a cabinet, mounted aside the door position.
On the cabinet pushbuttons are available for the various movements.
As long as the buttons are pushed the door will move in the given direction. Once the button is released the door will stop its movement immediately.
